The Bears got on the board in the 2nd quarter, when Kendal Gilbert scored off an interception at the top of the circle.
SF came out strong in the 3rd and scored in the first 2 minutes, tying up the match. However, the Lady Bears answered back immediately when Maya Brunner tipped in a Kendal Gilbert pass into the circle.
Peyton Shellaway scored on a corner scramble unassisted with three minutes left in the 3rd, bringing the score to 3-1.
Early in the 4th quarter, Springford pulled within 1 goal. Maya Brunner scored her second goal of the evening off an Emily Ulrich baseline pass, giving Boyertown the 4-2 lead with 5 min remaining.
Addie Galianese had a very strong night in goal with 10 saves. The Bears saw exceptional defense from Elise Eves, Mady Detwiler, Alaina Charlesworth, Mary Catherine Maloney, and Alex Bliss.
