Recap
Penncrest couldn’t solve a stout Harriton defense in a 2-0 loss.
The Rams scored once in each half to take what was a well-played game by both teams, especially considering the poor conditions.
Freshman Grace Copeland opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half, with an assist from Katie Rush. Senior Carly Adams doubled the lead after the break off an assist from senior Robyn Clark. Harriton goalie Laura Lasprogata recorded five saves.
Harriton head coach Cassandra Prentiss said, “The girls played smart, executing great passing combinations to move the ball quickly around Penncrest’s defense. Laura Lasprogata shut down Penncrest’s offensive line, making powerful clears that allowed our defense and midfielders to transition the ball to our offensive end with speed.”
Brielle McQuiston registered 10 saves in the defeat.
Penncrest returns to action Friday when the Lions take on Shipley.
