In their PAC season opener, Upper Merion’s Rylie McGrath broke open a 2-2 tie and scored the game-winning goal, her second of the day, to lift the Vikings over the Falcons on Tuesday.

McGrath and Reese Doan both found the back of the cage in the first half to carry a 2-0 lead into the break before Riley Kalejta put the Falcons on the board on a feed from Mailei Schechterly and Charissa Yerger tied the game with Alli Hakes on the assist. McGrath scored her second goal of the day to retake the lead for the Vikings and go the distance.

Upper Merion largely controlled the time of possession and outshot Pottsgrove 25-3. The Vikings also had nine corners while Pottsgrove had none. Lily Guerrette and Tonya Stone recorded eight saves apiece in net for the Falcons.
