With the Phoenixville field hockey team trailing Penncrest with 10 minutes left in Saturday’s non-league contest, Katie Baker came to the rescue.

Baker scored twice in the game’s final minutes, including the game-winner with two minutes remaining off a cross ball from Nicole Thompson, to deliver the Phantoms a 3-2 victory.

Cassidy Stevens tallied Phoenixville’s (9-2) lone first-half goal off an assist from Aubrie Breisblatt to go into the half tied 1-1. After falling behind 2-1 with 10 minutes to go, Breisblatt found Baker for a goal less than a minute later to even the game and set the stage for Baker’s late-game heroics. Phantoms goalie Gianna Chiponis made six saves.
