Methacton 7,North Penn 1 >> The two-goal outings of Katy Benton and Rachel Alderfer headed the Warriors’ season-opeing win over the Maidens.
Liz Chipman (one assist), Alexa Kratz and Frankie Lucchei rounded out the Methacton scoring. It provided sufficient support for goalie Molly Frey who had an eight-day save in goal for a Warrior unit that built a 5-1 lead in the first half.
