Reporter Field Hockey Roundup: Plymouth Whitemarsh closing in on another outright SOL American title
Kaleigh Missimer scored twice, Kayla Link had three assists and the Plymouth Whitemarsh field hockey team clinched at least a share of the Suburban One League American Conference title by shutting out visiting Abington 4-0 Thursday.
Kennedy Reardon added a goal and an assist while Ava Borkowski also scored for the Colonials (13-1-0, 11-0-0 conference), who have now won 50 straight SOL American games. Sarah Trask stopped two shots for the shutout.
PW, which has won its last five, hosts North Penn Friday then can earn an sixth consecutive outright conference title at home against Upper Dublin Tuesday.

Springfield-Montco 2, Hatboro-Horsham 0 >> Springfield posted its sixth shutout to stopped a two-game losing streak and improve to 8-4-1 (6-4-1 SOL American). Hatboro-Horsham (1-11-0, 1-10-0) lost its seventh straight.
North Penn 9, Quakertown 1 >> Cheyenne Cravener scored the first two goals then completed the hat trick in the second half as North Penn rolled past Quakertown to snap a five-game losing streak.
Eleni Kountrbouis added two goals for the Knights (4-8-0, 3-6-0 SOL Continental), who led 6-0 at halftime. Jillian Lampitoc, Madison Stotler, Emily Crawford and Kristin Varilla also scored for NP.
Makenzie Adamson had the lone goal for Quakertown (3-11-0, 0-9-0) while Panthers goalkeeper Alexis Landis made 21 saves.
Spring-Ford 5, Central Bucks West 1 >> Ashley Sessa scored twice and also collected an assist as Spring-Ford picked up the win in a non-league contest in which all six goals were scored in the first half.

Mackenna Maloney finished with a goal and assist for the Rams while Alexa Collins and Kate Crist each scored a goal.
