PW’s Frankie O’Brien to continue career at Hofstra

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School senior Frankie O’Brien has signed a letter of intent to play Division I field hockey next season at Hofstra University. O’Brien, who plays defense, led the Colonials to a fourth consecutive Suburban One League American Conference Championship and a District 1 playoff berth this season. She led the team with 29 goals and 67 points. She totaled 57 goals and 34 assist in her career. She was named first team All-League for the third straight year, after making third team All-League as a freshman. O’Brien was named first team All-State as a junior and second team All-State as a sophomore. She also plays for the WC Eagles Club Team, which won a National Indoor Championship this year.
