Conestoga athletes commit to colleges
Conestoga High School athletes in field hockey and lacrosse committed to colleges Nov. 12.
For field hockey, the Conestoga athletes who committed Nov. 12 were Chloe Johnson (Temple University), Lane Adams (Catholic University) and Nicole Bodo (Colgate).
Conestoga field hockey head coach Megan Smyth said, “These [three] 2014 field hockey college bound student-athletes have been instrumental in making history in the Conestoga field hockey program. They helped lead their 2014 team to an undefeated Central League title and back to the PIAA Class AAA state tournament for the second year in a row. Academically, they carry over the same level of enthusiasm, discipline and hard work into the classroom. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.’
For boys’ lacrosse, Conestoga athletes who committed Nov. 12 were Robert Sedlak (Virginia Military Institute), John Roulston (Drexel), Greg Taicher (Rollins), Matt Nagle (US Coast Guard Academy), Steve Hildebrand (Ohio Wesleyan), Sam Friedman (Lafayette), Parke Schweiter (Hobart), Dylan Sidoriak (Towson), Matt Schleicher (UPenn), Damase Bagbonon (Loyola Maryland) and Chris Brady (Lafayette).
Conestoga boys’ lacrosse head coach Brian Samson said, “The Class of 2015 boasts 11 college bound lacrosse players who are poised for a great season this spring. We are proud of their individual accomplishments on the field and in the classroom that have led them to this special moment.’
