Paolino helps Episcopal nail down Inter-Ac title

There wasn’t much drama in the Episcopal Academy field hockey team’s march to an Inter-Ac League title Tuesday.

Margaux Paolino scored twice and added two assists, and Lexi Fisher contributed a goal and a helper as EA topped Germantown Academy, 6-2, to clinch a league title.

Maddie Bacskai, Corinne Zanolli and Courtnie Williamson also scored for EA, which blew open a 1-1 game at halftime with five unanswered goals.

Also in the Inter-Ac:

Agnes Irwin 1, Notre Dame 0: Heather Crosby scored off a feed from Julianna Tornetta with six minutes to play to spell the difference between the teams. Rose Callis made 12 saves in the shutout for Agnes Irwin (18-2, 10-1).

Gabby Carlini stopped 10 shots for Notre Dame.
