Eubanks, Johnston provide punch for Ridley
Taylor Eubanks and Emily Johnston are expected to provide much of the offensive punch for the Ridley field hockey team and they did not disappoint Tuesday.
Eubanks and Johnson combined for six goals and three assists to keep the Green Raiders undefeated with a 7-1 nonleague romp over Norristown.
Eubanks led the offense with four goals. Johnson was just as efficient with goals and three assists.
In other nonleague action:
Merion Mercy 3, Radnor 2: Lauren Dice tallied twice to help the Golden Bears survive in overtime. Katie Quinn tallied two goals for the Raiders, while goalie Kylee Rutty stopped 23 shots.
Sun Valley 1, Pottstown 0: Molly McGowan converted a pass from Becca Burrell to lift the Vanguards over the Vanguards over the Trojans. Staci Curry made five saves to post the shutout.
Kennett 8, Interboro 1: Annette Helmandollar spoiled Kennett’s shutout bid with a goal in the second half. Goalie Jess Hinchey made 15 saves.
C.B. East 3, Garnet Valley 0: Alison Amen and Mikayla Jordan led a solid defensive effort for the Jaguars in front of goalie Hailey Valerio (17 saves) .
In the Bicentennial League:
Lower Moreland 8, Delco Christian 6: The Lions scored the final three goals to take a wild one with Delco Christian. Sam McNeil led the Knights with three goals. Allie Zubyk, Beth Yeung and Maggie Linton also scored for DC.
