Recap
There will be no three-peat for the Hill School boys soccer team in the Pa. Independent Schools Athletic Association playoffs.
William Penn Charter spoiled that scenario Tuesday with a 2-0 victory in the 2015 tournament’s quarterfinal round. Fourth-seeded PC scored the shutout on the fifth-seeded Blues, who got a penalty kick in the 69th minute but were unable to convert it.
After 63 minutes of even play, host Charter broke the scoreless deadlock when Conrad Williams found the back of the net. Sean McKee extended the four seed’s lead to 2-0 when The Hill was caught pushing forward for an equalizer.
