The Hill School boys soccer team was extended beyond regulation play Wednesday when it opened the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) playoffs against Friends’ Central. But the Blues got the difference-maker early in overtime for a 1-0 victory.
Josh Shepherd finished a Hale Lombard “through” ball in the 82nd minute. Fifth-seeded Hill was unable to break through in regulation, despite a 25-2 advantage in shots against the #12 Phoenix.
Hill keepers Alan Kim and Blake Groff were not required to record a save in posting the combined clean sheet.
