Recap

The Conestoga boys’ soccer team earned a 2-0 win against Lower Merion Thursday.
With 28:04 remaining in the second half, Conestoga broke the scoreless tie when sophomore midfielder Rodrigo Martinez converted a rebound after Lower Merion junior keeper Sebastian Jenkins made the initial save on a point blank shot from sophomore forward Chris Donovan.
Less than five minutes later with 22:39 remaining, Conestoga added a second goal when sophomore defender Logan Schwartz went up in a crowd and used the back of his head and converted a pass from senior defender Dan Leiser to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
Lower Merion continued to press but got denied each time by the Conestoga defense.
The last eight years the Central League title has gone to either Conestoga or Lower Merion with the winner of this match-up winning the crown each time.
