Recap

The Kennett boys soccer team beat Downingtown East 2-1 in a home match. Kennett struck first with a free kick that was played into Downingtown East’s box.  The ball bounced off of several players before Kennett’s Axel Ayllon put it home. Before the half ended, Downingtown East was granted a penalty kick, which they put away, making the score 1-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Kennett’s Evan Hartman drove down the right flank and sent a low, driven ball into the box, which Luke Nall placed it into Downingtown’s net.  

Kennett held onto the lead through solid defensive efforts from Edwin Guerrero, Erik Calderon, Alex Flores, and Peter Schwarz.  Juan Guerrero was solid in goal.
