La Salle 2, Archbishop Wood 1: The Explorers rallied for the PCL win in OT on Friday. CJ Massella was credited with the game-winner.

CB East 3, Souderton 1: Johnny Arueta scored in the 44th minute off an assist from Ethan Lacher, but that was all the scoring for the Indians on Friday. Chris McKenna made six saves in net for Souderton.

Hatboro-Horsham 4, Quakertown 0: The Hatters won big in SOL Liberty action on Friday with goals from Jake Freedman (2), Isaac Kakiko and Anthony Pumilia. Assists were from Kakiko, Tony Kuhner and Raphael Laiss. Noah Schlosser recorded four saves in net to preserve the shutout.

CB West 3, Pennridge 1: The Bucks picked up the SOL Colonial win with Richard Newell, Chase Naso and Cole Young providing the offense for West.

Phoenixville 5, PJP II 1: Ben Rubinich scored the lone goal for the Panthers off an assist from Mark Heffner on Tuesday in PAC Frontier action.

Girls soccer
Methacton 8, Norristown 0: Aubrey Beaugard scored two goals in the first 14 minutes as the Warriors won big on Friday in PAC Liberty action. Kendall Ricca and Sage Bowman also scored two goals. Katie Rozinsky chipped in with two assists.

Upper Moreland 3, Cheltenham 0: Kylie West scored her first varsity goal at the 36:13 mark and the Golden Bears coasted to the SOL Freedom win on Friday. Willow Taylor scored off a dish from Brooke Lobban at the 49:32 mark and Looban finished off the scoring at the 74:25 mark on an assist from Katie Slear.
“Our league is really competitive, and each team that steps onto the field is always showing up to battle and win,” UM Head Coach Lisa Benevenuto said. “Day in and day out, our players are in the grind, doing all they can to get the win. We saw that in our match-up with Springfield Wednesday, and we knew that Cheltenham was going to show up as well. The loss to Springfield Wednesday was tough, and we needed to regroup and learn from that experience. Today, we did a really good job at moving the ball, winning 50/50’s and finishing our attacks.”

Hatboro-Horsham 2, Quakertown 0: Sarah Boland and Emma Levin provided the offense for the Hatters on Friday. Mia Malofiy set up both goals with a pair of assists.

Pennridge 1, CB West 0: Liv Grenda scored on a PK and the Rams made it hold up on Friday in SOL Colonial action.

Phoenixville 3, PJP II 1: Junior Cameron Schuler scored the lone goal for the Panthers off a penalty kick in the second half on Friday in PAC action. Junior Kyanni Escudero had 10 saves in net for PJP II.

Field hockey
Methacton 4, Norristown 0: Four different players scored as the Warriors rolled to the PAC Liberty win on Friday. Carmela Maro, Lea DeWan, Renee Blake and Abby Reger each scored goals for Methacton.

PJP II 2, Phoenixville 1: Abby Wilmot and Cate Mink provided the offense as the Golden Panthers picked up the PAC Frontier win on Friday. Cate Mink also picked up an assist, while Gianna Manza was credited with six saves in net.

Girls tennis
Spring-Ford 7, PJP II 0: The Golden Panthers ran into the cream of the crop of the PAC and weren’t able to pick up a set on Friday.

Wissahickon 7, North Penn 0: The Trojans didn’t drop a set in rolling to the SOL crossover win on Friday. YiYi Huang set the tone with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Dakota Williams at No. 1 singles. The best match of the day though was at No. 4 doubles where Lexi Frutkin/Katherine Kooman outlasted Karlyn Juckniewitz and Jamie Seo 7-6 (4), 6-2.

Girls Volleyball
Methacton 3, Norristown 0: The Warriors swept to the PAC win on Friday, bringing the Warriors to a perfect record of 5-0.

Boyertown 3, Souderton 0: The Indians got swept on Friday in nonconference action by scores of 26-24, 26-24 and 25-21. Lauren Vince led the way for Souderton with five kills, one block, five digs and one ace. Also standing out for Souderton were Alexa Mazzeo (two aces, 15 digs), McKenna Murawski (one ace, four kills, two blocks, four digs), Teya McConaha (nine kills) and Grace Boyd (20 assists, five digs).
