Reporter/Times Herald Boys Soccer Roundup: Hatboro-Horsham tops Wissahickon; Souderton, CB South play to 2-2 draw
Hatboro-Horsham 5, Wissahickon 0 >> Tommy Harmon had two assists and Hatboro-Horsham scored four goals in the second half to start its season with an SOL Liberty victory.
Anthony Pumilia put the Hatters ahead in the 31st minute then went up 2-0 early in the second half as Nathan Scavo found the back of the net at the 46th minute. Jack Elwell scored in the 66th with Lucas Howieson and JR Fulginiti adding goals in the 72nd and 80th minutes, respectively.
Jake Freedom and Mason DeLuca each had an assist for HH while goalie Noah Schlosser had four saves.
Souderton 2, Central Bucks South 2 >> Souderton’s Thomas Smith headed in a Nolan Hughes corner kick in the 60th minute to tie the SOL Colonial contest at 2-2 as the Indians and Central Bucks South went on to finish in a draw.
Aidan McClure made 13 saves for Souderton while Hughes scored on a free kick to give Big Red a 1-0 lead. South struck for goals in the 20th and 21st minutes to go up 2-1.
Springfield (Montco) 5, New Hope-Solebury 3 >> Riley Martin had a hand on four Springfield goals, scoring twice and assisting two more as the Spartans overcame a hat trick from New Hope-Solebury’s Jake Hausner to earn an SOL Freedom win.
Springfield’s Peter Schmidt finished with a goal and two assists — getting the helper of both of Martin’s goal. Grant Williams and Jack McKittrick both had a goal while Tommy Bailey recorded an assist.
The Lions’ Logan Moore collected an assist.
