Hanna scores four times in rout by Penncrest
There was no stopping Drew Hanna Tuesday.
The Penncrest senior scored four times, leading the Lions to a 6-0 win over Upper Darby.
Jordan Hoyle deposited the other two goals, and Christian Evans chipped in two helpers for the Lions (8-1, 6-1). Liam Thomas made nine saves in posting the clean sheet.
Also in the Central League:
Marple Newtown 4, Garnet Valley 1: George Lambritsios furnished all four of Marple’s goals, two off helpers from Hunter Dyson, as the Tigers (5-6, 4-3) coasted to break a four-game losing streak.
Conestoga 2, Haverford 1: Ryan Brown scored off a feed from Mark Sammartino, but the Fords couldn’t hang onto a halftime advantage.
Radnor 1, Strath Haven 0: Max Barish scored in overtime to lead the Raiders to a the victory.
Springfield 3, Ridley 1: Nick Jannelli opened the scoring for the Cougars, John Kilker provided a long-distance chip for the second goal and Alex Fuentes capped the scoring courtesy of Danny Korinth’s second assist for the Cougars (6-4, 5-2).
Jamie Fisher scored for Ridley.
In the Del Val League:
Penn Wood 3, Academy Park 1: John Manasary scored twice, and Hassan Warritay added a marker for the Patriots (6-1, 3-0).
Guillermo Rodriguez found the score sheet for the Knights.
Interboro 7, Chichester 2: Diego Lopez scored for goals, and Willy Lopez, Foday Kayateh and Kevin Oreskovich rounded out the scoring for the Bucs.
Austin Wilson and Adam Youseff found the back of the net for the Eagles.
In the Tri-State Christian Conference:
Christian Academy 5, Pilgrim Academy 1: Evan Needs scored three goals, and Brit Haseltine added a goal to go with three helpers for the Crusaders.
