Needs, Haseltine provide spark for TCA
Evan Needs and Brit Haseltine scored two goals each as The Christian Academy posted a 4-1 boys soccer victory over visiting Delco Christian Saturday.
Haseltine also assisted on both of Needs’ goals, while Needs also chalked up an assist. TCA (3-0-1) also stayed unbeaten thanks to the work in net of Joseph Opdenaker, who had two saves.
For Delco Christian, Dan Nichols scored the lone Knights goal in the 61st minute.

Radnor 1, Plymouth Whitemarsh 0: Cal Congleton had the Raiders goal with seven minutes remaining, scoring off a free kick from midfield. That helped the Raiders (6-2) win their sixth consecutive game, the last five by shutout. In goal, Radnor’s Ben Toomey made one save en route to the shutout.
Kennett 1, Marple Newtown 0: Griffin Dight with the goal. Marple did not report details
Boyertown 4, Springfield 1: Danny Yudt had two goals for the visiting Bears, who also had goals from Matt Hudson and Levi Roberts. Springfield’s goal was by Danny Korinth, but the Cougars did not report other details.
