Boys lacrosse
LC 13, Archbishop Wood 5: Dan Curran scored four goals and one assist to pace the Crusaders to another PCL win on Wednesday. Gavin Selchert addded three goals and two assists, while Caleb Moiser and Path Flannery each scored two goals. Sean McMahon and Evan Milligan also scored for LC, while Andrew Montagna had one assist. Jack Kennedy added 14 saves.

Pope John Paul II 15, Quakertown 4: Connor Gucwa got his 100th career point as PJP improved to 5-3 overall on Wednesday. Gucway finished with one goal and six assists, while Ian Young had four goals and three assists. Eric Zadroga also scored four goals for PJP, while Dillon Murphy (20 of 23 faceoffs won) and Ryan Lamson each added two goals. Defense was led by Denny Owens, Hugh Trexler, Joey Moffa and Gavin Vigilante and a great effort from Sean Fallon in net with 17 saves.

Girls lacrosse
Wissahickon 19, Hatboro-Horsham 5: Alexa McCabe scored five goals, while Emma Greenberg added five as the Trojans won big on Wednesday in SOL American action. Elle Stein added three goals, while Sophia Stehlik scored two goals and dished out four assists. Maddie Radell chipped in with one goal and four assists, while Ava Fell stopped 11 shots in net. Mia Fisher scored two goals to pace the Hatters.

Upper Perk 10, Pope John Paul II 8: The game was tied at the half before UP rallied for the second-half win on Wednesday. Pacing PJP were Jill Cobaugh (three goals, one assist), Ava Zepp (two goals), Maddie Memmo (two goals) and Camrym Grimley (one goal). Mary Katie Sitko paced Upper Perk with five goals and one assist.

Spring-Ford 13, Methacton 12: The Warriors dropped a heartbreaker on Wednesday despite five goals and one assist from Megan Sanelli. Michelle Zhai added three goals and two assists, while Giana Catoia scored two goals. Mackenzie Coupe and Lily Dewan also scored for Methacton. Gianna DiBattista paced Spring-Ford with six goals.

Baseball
Pope John Paul II 9, Methacton 5, 8 innings: The Golden Panthers rallied from a 4-1 sixth-inning deficit to win in extra innings on Wednesday. Billy Fitzgerald hit a home run and drove in three runs, while Luke Terlesky tripled, homered and drove in two runs from the bottom of the line. Kross Howarth and Tommy Kratz each had two hits for Methacton.

Softball

Norristown 17, Phoenixville 7: The Eagles collected 16 hits in improving to 4-2 with the PAC crossover win on Wednesday. Camryn Holmes led the way, going 3-for-4 with a home run and six RBIs, while seniors Ryan Morse (4-for-4) and Isabelle Pastella (three hits) each had three RBIs. Alana Echevarris and Gianna Pino-Ramseur also had multi-hit games for Norristown.

Boys tennis
LC 4, Roman Catholic 1: The Crusaders took home the Senior Day win led by senior Harry Davies with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles. At No. 1 doubles, senior Pat Leahy and soph Joe Kroiss took home the win without giving up a single game. At No. 4 doubles, senior Jake Margarity and senior Gavin Fanelli also won via the double-bagel variety of 6-0 and 6-0. Junior Rob Hendel added to the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles.

Lower Moreland 4, CB South 3: The Lions dominating singles players led the way in a SOL crossover match on Wednesday. Aaron Sandler, Jacob Heller and Maxwell Spodik all won 6-0, 6-0. Still, the match came down to No. 3 doubles where Lower Moreland survived a 7-6 (7), 6-3 victory from Vincent Zhang/Nicholas Lemiashevski over South’s Colin Kenna/Andrew Lisovskiy.
