The Shipley boys’ lacrosse team fell to regionally top-ranked Princeton Day School, 16-6, Friday.
Shipley head coach Mark Duncan said, “Princeton Day was smart on offense and patient. We took a lot of shots and hit a lot of pipes and just didn’t have the ball enough.”
Leaders for the Gators were Pete Moeller (three goals), Amir Fluellen (one goal, two assists), Tate Gallagher (one goal, two assists), Frank Campanale (one goal), Chad Allison (one assist), Nick Gonzalez (nine ground balls) and Coton Gallo (11 saves).

Agnes Irwin used a 10-goal second half run to pull away from the Academy of Notre Dame and pick up a 15-5 win Thursday. The Agnes Irwin defense held NDA to just two first half goals and three Owls recorded hat tricks: Lila Barker, Alicia O’Neil, and Laura Pansini. Laura Pansini also added two assists, including her 100th career helper. Kate White led the AIS midfield with three caused turn overs, four ground balls, three draw controls and an interception. Hailey Andress recorded her second straight win in the cage for Irwins and made three saves.
Baldwin School lost to Penn Charter, 8-7, Friday. Leaders for the Polar Bears included Ry Neuman (one goal, two draw controls), Izzy Schaeffer (one goal, one assist), Marissa McGarrey (five goals, one assist, three draw controls), Myla Barnett (one assist), Nat Sgro (three ground balls) and Celia Page (one assist).
Episcopal Academy (girls) defeated Germantown Academy, 15-8, Thursday. Harriton (girls) lost a 12-11 squeaker to defending PIAA state champion Garnet Valley Thursday. The game featured six ties and six lead changes. Leaders for for Harrition included Molly McDonough (one draw control, two caused turnovers, three ground balls), Claudia Conrad (three ground balls), Liv Tevis (two goals, one draw control, one caused turnover), Alex Ladda (two goals), Laura Lasprogata (four goals, one assist, two draw controls), Haley Morris (two ground balls, three draw controls), Greta Stahl (three goals, two assists, three draw controls), Claudia Conrad (three ground balls) and Devin McClain (nine saves, two ground balls).
Malvern Prep defeated Germantown Academy, 9-6, Thursday. Leaders for the Friars included Billy Coyle (one goal, two assists), Kyle Anderson (two goals, two assists), Adam Goldner (two goals, one assist), Mike Fay (one goal), AJ Traynor (one assist), Addison Mueller (one goal), Zach White (one goal), Joe Bendinelli (one goal), Andrew Clark (nine saves) and Sean Christman (won 15 of 17 face offs).
Villa Maria Academy defeated Saint Basil, 25-2, Friday. Leaders for the Hurricanes included Brianne Bamber (five goals, two assists), Annina Iacobucci (two goals, four assists), Lucy Meehan (two goals), Lauren Dunn (three goals), Adele Iacobucci (three goals, one assist), Audrey Fantazzia (three goals, eight assists), Erin Finley (two goals), Sarah Moffit (one goal), Bridget Forde (two goals), Caroline Mullen (one goal), Lizzy Walheim (two goals), Caroline Bradford (one goal, three assists) and Caroline Antell (one assist). Goalie Emily Wilson had a shutout in the first half.
