Haverford rides McClure’s five goals to win in opener
Bob McClure lit up the scoreboard with five goals and an assist in Haverford’s season-opening, 16-3 shellacking of Holy Ghost Prep.
Jack Daly produced six points on two goals and four assists. Nick Dilorio had two goals and Cole Lukasiewicz aided on two tallies.

Marple Newtown 17, Interboro 3 >> Tyler Kostack, Jake Long and Christian Xitas combined for 11 goals and five assists as the Tigers pummelled the Bucs. Alex Viola and Zach Faust each had a pair of goals and an assist. Noah Turner paced MN’s stellar defensive effort.
Upper Darby 8, Cheltenham 3 >> The Burke boys carried the Royals with 10 points between them. Pat, a sophomore, logged four goals and two assists, while junior Sean registered two and two.
Jake Robinson recorded a goal and two assists, Vince McGinnis stopped eight shots in the cage, and Max Livingston won nine of 13 faceoffs for UD.
Lawrenceville 5, Episcopal Academy 4 >> CJ McAnally found the back of the net twice, but the Churchmen (0-3) went down in overtime on the road. Goalie Jake Floyd Jones finished with 18 saves.
