Seidman powers Haverford High
John Seidman scored 11 of his game-high 17 points in the first quarter as Haverford High cruised to a 46-31 nonleague decision over Chester Charter School for the Arts.
Dan Roe dumped in 15 points for the Fords, who led 22-12 at halftime.
Bruce Rodgers paced the Sabers with eight points.

Sun Valley 60, Chichester 39 >> Vinny DeAngelo poured in 30 points and was a perfect 12 of 12 in free-throw attempts as the Vanguards routed the rival Eagles.
Isaac Kennon and Dom Valente netted nine points apiece for the Vanguards, who shot 25 of 29 at the foul line.
Calvin Church paced Chi with 13 points while Jamese Lundy-Byrd finished with nine.
Chester 68, Bartram 49 >> Karell Watkins notched his ninth double-double in 11 games, pairing 23 points with 12 rebounds, both game highs. Watkins scored seven points in a third quarter that saw the Clippers (7-4) hold Bartram to just three points.
Rahmee Gilbert totaled 13 points and Michael Smith had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists for Chester. Rahmaad Dejarnette netted eight points and snared seven rebounds.
Ridley 57, Bensalem 47 >> The Green Raiders locked down on defense in the fourth quarter and pulled away with a 25-13 spurt. Enoch Clark tallied 10 of his 12 points in the final stanza. Mal Williams led all Ridley players with 18 points and Josh Howard contributed 15.
Penn Wood 60, Neshaminy 44 >> The Patriots (7-3) overcame a paltry 14-for-37 performance at the foul line thanks to a balanced scoring effort.
Davanta Smith led the way with 13 points, Shad Kyem added nine and Zac Williams finished with eight points.
Delco Christian 67, Collegium Charter 53 >> Tyler Rossini 18-point effort powered the Knights (7-4) to their second win in as many days. Jacob Bronkema scored 16 points and Jackson Piotrowski pitched in 12.
Mount Pleasant 78, Christian Academy 63 >> Grant Sareyka registered 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals as the Crusaders fell in the championship game of the Wilmington Christian (Del.) Tournament.
TCA’s Tehron Phillips, who scored 16 points and made five steals, was selected to the all-tournament team. Jourdan Greene also tallied 16 points in the loss.
W.C. East 58, Strath Haven 35 >> Luke Edwards netted a team-high 13 points, but the Panthers trailed 34-13 at halftime and never recovered.
Friends Central 83, Interboro 41 >> Damon Dukes scored 15 points and Jared Dellipriscoli tossed in 12 for the Bucs, who were outscored 46-15 in the first half.
Penncrest 55, Oxford 22 >> The Lions (11-2) tallied 17 assists on 23 baskets en route to 33-point shellacking of the visiting Hornets.
Malcolm Williams showed the way with 18 points, while Marquis Tomlin added 12 points and five assists. Aidan Carroll scored eight points and Isaiah Rice finished with seven points, six rebounds and five assists.
