GIRLS BASKETBALL

Souderton 49, Pennridge 45 >> Teya McConnaha’s posted a double-double as Souderton won its second straight, scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to help the Indians edge host Pennridge in a tight SOL Colonial Division matchup Thursday night.

Casey Harter added 11 points and five assists for Souderton (5-2, 3-1 division), which trailed 25-23 halftime before outscoring the Rams 16-10 in the third to lead 39-35. Erin Bohmueller had 10 points while Brooke Fenchel finished with nine points.

Anna Croyle’s 13 points paced Pennridge (4-2, 2-2) which dropped its second straight. Katie Yoder scored 11 for the Rams while Ryan Hodder chipped in nine points.

Methacton 47, Owen J. Roberts 35 >> Mairi Smith finished with 13 points and seven rebounds as Methacton used a strong first half to top Owen J. Roberts in their PAC Liberty Division contest.

Nicole Timko totaled 11 points while Cassidy Kropp collected 10 points for the Warriors (4-1, 1-0 division), who led 29-18 at halftime.

Asya Price had a game-high 14 points for OJR (4-2, 1-1), which had a three-game win streak snapped. Avery White scored 13 points for OJR.

Upper Merion 42, Pottsgrove 38 >> Riley Anderson led Upper Merion with 14 points as the Vikings held off Pottsgrove in the second half to earn a PAC Frontier Division win.

Devon Maiden collected eight of her 11 points in the first half for UM (2-4, 2-0 division), which outscored the Falcons 14-4 in the second quarter to lead 26-17 at halftime.

Aaliyah Freeman scored a game-high 17 points for Pottsgrove (0-5, 0-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Upper Merion 57, Pottsgrove 39 >> Ty Jones led all scorers with 15 points as Upper Merion pulled away in the third quarter as the Vikings won their second straight in the PAC Frontier matchup.

Kalil Lawson added 10 points for Upper Merion (3-2, 2-0 division), which led 30-25 at halftime before outscoring Pottsgrove 12-5 in the third to go up 46-30.

Manny Allen had 10 points for the Falcons (4-2, 0-1), who had their three-game win streak stopped.

Central Bucks East, 53, Central Bucks West 36 >> Jacob Cummiskey scored 10 of his team-high 13 points in the third quarter as Central Bucks East bettered Central Bucks West 21-9 in the period as the Patriots went to claim an SOL Colonial victory.

Nick Rivera and Brett Young scored 11 and 10 points, respectively for the East (5-1, 3-1), who led 20-16 at halftime.

John Lee had a game-high 14 points for the Bucks (1-5, 1-3).
