Nelson powers W.C. Rustin in Ches-Mont American opener
Jake Nelson scored 20 points as West Chester Rustin opened Ches-Mont League American Division boys basketball play with a 57-28 victory over Kennett on Thursday.
Tajhir Asparagus added 16 points for the Golden Knight (1-0, 1-1). Rustin jumped out to a 17-3 advantage after the first quarter.
Bowden duPhily paced the Blue Demons with nine points.
