Hall boosts Sun Valley’s playoff quest in win over Rustin
Sun Valley’s quest for a District One playoff berth got a much needed boost.
Ryan Hall returned from injury to score 18 points, and Kyle Ryan chipped in 13 as the Vanguards scored a 54-44 win over Rustin.
Ishy Ahmad added 11 points, and Wali Sabree netted 10 for Sun Valley (7-12, 4-7 Ches-Mont).
In the Del Val League:
Academy Park 80, Penn Wood 69 >> Nakim Stokes’ game-high 24 points paced shorthanded AP.
Jawan Collins, DeAndray Covert and Nick Simmons chipped in 16 points apiece for Academy Park (14-5, 7-1), which was won five straight and 10 of 11.
Kairi Jones scored 21 points, and Ryan Kelly added a career-high 18 for Penn Wood (8-9, 3-4).
Chester 78, Glen Mills 56 >> Stanley Davis scored all 11 of his points in the first half, and Marquis Collins scored nine of his team-high 15 in the first as the Clippers led by 24 at the break.
DeShawn Hinson and Donald Hodges recorded season-highs with 10 points each, and Khaleeq Campbell paired eight points with seven assists for Chester (12-6, 7-0).
Myron Sanders led Glen Mills with 12 points, while DaQuan Dantzler scored nine on three treys for the Battlin’ Bulls (6-12, 2-6).
Chichester 77, Interboro 58 >> DaQuan Granberry drained five 3-pointers for 28 points, and Jamai Womack and Eric Montanez supplied 14 points apiece for Chi (11-7, 4-4).
Josh Encarnacion led Interboro with 15 points, Chase Pattinson added 13 and Brandon Conlin contributes 10.
In the Bicentennial:
Delco Christian 54, MaST Charter 52 >> Wyatt Harkins poured in a season-high 31 points, and Tyler Penley drained three 3-pointers for 11 as the Knights (9-8, 6-7) pulled out a much-needed win.
