Perkiomen 71, Friends Central 46 >> The Panthers cruised into the quarterfinals of the Pa. Independent Schools Athletic Association tournament Wednesday with a lopsided win over Friends Central.

Perkiomen jumped out to a 23-5 lead after the first quarter, and it never looked back from there. Atakan Sahinkaya and Nick Guadarrama each scored 18 points to lead the way, and Chandler Brooks scored 10. Reggie James added eight points to Perkiomen’s offense, and Aidan O’Brien seven.

The Panthers will play their fourth straight game Thursday at Neumann University, when they take on Phelps School at 7 p.m. for the Tri-County League championship.
