After 32 minutes playing relatively pedestrian, Patrick O’Neill turned it on in overtime for the Methacton boys basketball team during Friday night’s Pioneer Athletic Conference divisional crossover game with Phoenixville.
O’Neill scored 10 of his 14 points during the overtime period as the Warriors pulled away and sealed a 68-58 win over the Phantoms. O’Neill shot a clean 8-for-8 from the free throw line during overtime while David Duda tied a game-high 19 points for Methacton.
Avery Close paced Phoenixville with 19 points including three 3-pointers as the Phantoms’ 17-5 run during the fourth-quarter fell just short. Zion Small followed with nine points.
