BONNER-PRENDERGAST 72, PHOENIXVILLE 69, OT >> Christian Kelly poured in a game-high 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, but Phoenixville fell to the Friars on the first day of the Marple Newtown Basketball Boosters 9th Annual Holiday Tournament.
The game was tied at 60 at the end of regulation before Bonner-Prendergrast outscored the Phantoms 12-9 during the four-minute overtime period.
Kelly hit three 3-pointers and shot 4-for-6 at the free throw line. Hunter Herschell added 13 for the Phantoms, including three 3-pointers. Shyheim Abernathy scored nine points with two treys, including a last-second bomb at the first-half buzzer that gave Phoenixville a 30-24 lead at the break. Marquise McDuffee chipped in with eight points with 4-for-4 foul shooting.
Phoenixville, which saw its nine-game winning streak come to a halt, had nine treys on the night. The Phantoms played without regular starters Jeff Conboy and Avery Close.
Bonner, which placed four players in double figures, was led by Dylan Higgins with 21 points.
