Recap
Lincoln Prep (Canada) 71, The Hill School 67
Hill (3-4) had a quick turnaround from last night’s thrilling home opener win, and could not rise to its latest challenge. Down right from the tip, Hill struggled to contain Lincoln Prep’s high octane offense and three-point barrage (12 on the game). The Blues were able to dig out of an early hole and tie the game 34-34 at the half, and even took the lead on Gabe Dorsey’s step back jumper to end the third quarter. Ahead 50-49, Hill would find themselves down though by 6 points later in the quarter as Tyler Sagl dropped 3 final quarter threes and 11 of his team-high 24 points to lead LP to victory. Hill had a good look to tie with 5 seconds remaining that just fell short. Hill also suffered from its worst free throw performance of the year, going a lackluster 19-34 from the line. The Blues were led by Caleb Dorsey’s game-high 31 points, and Xavier Mayo’s 14 points and 13 rebounds.
