Despite Donaghy’s buzzer-beater, Penncrest outlasts Haverford in 2 OTs
Tyler Norwood scored 21 points, including the decisive bucket in the second overtime to lead Penncrest to a 58-55 win over Haverford in a Central League game Tuesday night.
AJ Taylor added 18 points for Penncrest (5-3, 3-2).
Jack Donaghy led Haverford (1-5, 1-4) with 24 points, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.
Also in the Central League:
Upper Darby 53, Strath Haven 42 >> Kahleel Henry scored 14 points, and Anthony McFall added 12 as the Royals (3-5, 2-4) led start-to-finish.
Alex Ischiropoulos led Strath Haven (6-2, 3-2) with 15 points.
Ridley 49, Harriton 33 >> Brett Foster poured in 30 points to go with five steals and six assists, giving him a hand in 15 of Ridley’s 16 baskets.
Julian Wing added 12 points, all in the second half, as the Green Raiders (7-0, 5-0) pulled away.
Conestoga 49, Radnor 25 >> Vinnie Kelly scored nine points and Mason Ressler added seven, but the Raiders (5-3, 3-2) couldn’t keep pace.
In the Ches-Mont League:
Sun Valley 54, Unionville 51 >> Ryan Hall hit four 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 27 points to lead the Vanguards (3-5, 2-1).
In the Catholic League:
Archbishop Carroll 79, Bonner-Prendergast 56 >> Ryan Daly scored 24 points, and Josh Sharkey nearly recorded a triple-double with 18 points, 10 assists, nine steals and six rebounds to lead the Patriots (6-0, 1-0).
Keith Washington led Bonner-Prendie (5-2, 0-1) with 18 points.
In nonleague action:
Christopher Dock 66, Christian Academy 53 >> Brit Haseltine scored 17 points, and Jalen Sherrill added 14 for the Crusaders (2-5).
