Carroll’s Rigsby, Daly too much for O’Hara

John Rigsby and Ryan Daly helped Archbishop Carroll make easy work of Cardinal O’Hara in a Catholic League showdown Sunday.

Rigsby scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Daly finished with 18 points as the Patriots routed the Lions, 79-40.

Josh Sharkey put forth a strong all-around game with 10 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals. The host Patriots (18-2, 10-1) jumped all over the Lions in the opening quarter and held a comfortable 46-17 advantage at halftime.

Jaye’Lyn Peebles buoyed O’Hara with 14 points.

In another Catholic League game:

Roman Catholic 66, Bonner & Prendergast 43 >> A sluggish first half doomed the visiting Friars, who trailed at intermission, 33-12.

John Hargraves paced Bonner with 16 points, while Justin Gans added 13.
