Carroll’s Daly, Sharkey put the bite on Ryan

The Archbishop Carroll boys basketball team made it look easy Wednesday night.

Led by Josh Sharkey’s all-around effort and Ryan Daly’s game-high 19 points, the Patriots cruised to a 79-48 Catholic League victory over Archbishop Ryan.

Sharkey finished with 18 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and two steals for the visiting Pats (13-1, 5-0), who led 25-8 after the opening quarter.

John Rigsby added 13 points and four assists, while Jesse McPherson and Miks Antoms (10 rebounds) each chipped in 10 points.

La Salle 54, Cardinal O’Hara 32 >> Jaye’Lyn Peebles netted a team-high 10 points for the Lions (4-10), who were outscored, 27-14, in the second half.
