Highlights: Alex Pak pitched a complete one-hitter and struck out eight, holding down the fort for Strath Haven in a District 1-5A quarterfinal win over Phoenixville and punching his team’s ticket to a third straight district semifinal appearance. Pak also had one hit and two RBIs.
At the plate, the Panthers were led by Matt Kane, who went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Third-seeded Strath Haven will host No. 10 West Chester Rustin in the District 1-5A semifinals on Friday at 4 p.m.
Dylan Antonini pitched 5.1 innings for the Phantoms, striking out three with six hits and four walks. After winning the Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship and winning the program’s first district playoff game in 10 years, Phoenixville ends its season with a record of 15-8.
