The Hill School fell to MAPL rival Lawrenceville on Saturday, May 6 by a final score of 5-4.
Hill got a strong start out of Brennan Kei, who held Lawrenceville scoreless through four innings while Hill’s offense got on the board early. Both sides played error-free baseball and the game came down to hitting with two outs.
Michael Rockovich ’20 plated fellow classmate Michael Eze ’20 with a two-out single in the first inning. Hill took a 4-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth following a two-out double from Rockovich.
The home team cut the lead in half with a two-out double off Keil in the bottom of the fifth inning. Lawrenceville took the lead for good by adding three more runs in the home half of the sixth on another two-out double.
