Will Peiffer pitched a complete game shutout as Downingtown East won a 1-0 pitchers duel over Coatesville in the Ches-Mont National Division Wednesday night.
Peiffer allowed seven hits and struck out eight for the Cougars. Kelsey Launi scored the winning run on an error in the seventh.
Isaiah Holmes threw 6 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs on four hits and struck out four for Coatesville (6-2, 6-2).
