North Penn 9, Pennridge 1: The Knights took a 7-0 lead after three innings and coasted to the SOL Colonial win on Friday. Nolan Walker pitched a two-hit shutout over five innings, while Henry Wetzel went 3-for-4 with a double. Jack Picozzi added a double and three RBIs, while Ben Farley had two. Justin Egner added three runs scored for NP (12-1, 10-1).

Upper Merion 2, Pottsgrove 1: Quintin Sarne pitched a complete game five-hitter as the Vikings picked up the win on Friday. Upper Merion made the most of its four hits to scratch out the victory. Sarne also delivered an RBI as did Andrew Prendergast.

Central Bucks East 4, Central Bucks West 3: Chase Harlan came through in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run walk-off home run to snap Central Bucks East’s nine-game losing skid. Harland went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Matthew Rowland went 2-for-3 with a double for the Patriots (3-12, 3-8 SOL Colonial), who took a 2-0 lead in the first. Central Bucks West pulled even with a run in both the second and first while Max McGlone’s leadoff homer in the fifth put the Bucks up 3-2. McGlone was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored while Sam Greer finished 2-for-4 for West (11-4, 8-4), which dropped its second straight.

Wissahickon 9, Hatboro-Horsham 1: Wissahickon took a matchup between streaking SOL Liberty sides, scoring three runs in the third then added six in the fourth to win its six in a row. Finn Olszewski was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and two runs scored for the Trojans (11-3, 9-3) while Shane Hentrick went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Justin Miller had two RBIs and two runs scored with Black McClintci collecting two RBIs. Kyle Dittus hit a double for Hatboro-Horsham (10-4, 7-4), which had its five-game win streak halted.

Upper Dublin 4, Quakertown 3: Eric Berman finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored as Upper Dublin posted its eighth straight victory by erasing a 3-2 deficit with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth. The win and Plymouth Whitemarsh’s loss to Abington gives the Cardinals (11-3, 11-1) sole possession of first place in the SOL Liberty Division. Daniel Qualteria was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Quakertown (5-8, 4-6), which had a four-game win streak stopped.

Central Bucks South 3, Souderton 1: Logan Hinds struck out six in a complete-game win while Tommy Donnelly broke a 1-1 tie with his RBI double in the bottom of the fifth then gave Central Buck Souths some insurance with an RBI sacrifice fly in the seventh. Hinds gave up a run – earned on four hits and did not allow a walk for the Titans (7-6, 6-5 SOL Colonial), who have won four of their last five. Zack Pollock was 2-for-3 with a run scored for Souderton (6-8, 5-7) which pulled even in the top of the fourth on Austin Kreyenhagen’s RBI double.

Boys tennis
Conestoga 5, Upper Dublin 0: The Cardinals did not win a set, but put up a good fight against the No. 2 seeds in the District 1-3A quarterfinals on Friday. Scott Schlackman lost 6-1, 7-5 in a true battle to Chaitanya Krishna at No. 1 singles, while Tommaso Serafini fell 6-0, 7-6 at No. 3 singles to Voyin Markovic in two of the most entertaining matches of the day. Zachary Hunter and Tripp Mangifesta also fell 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Upper Dublin will next face No. 6 seed Great Valley in the fifth-place playbacks for the final state bid on Monday.

Softball
Plymouth Whitemarsh 10, Abington 0: The Colonials got their bats going on Friday with eight extra-base hits and three two-run home runs in an SOL Liberty contest. Junior outfielder Sam Skivo hit a two-run shot in the first inning, freshman catcher Anna Powel delivered a two-run blast in the fourth and soph third baseman Madison Moran closed it out with a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Molly Moore got the win, pitching a three-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts in five innings.

Quakertown 5, Upper Dublin 1: Abby Wagner tossed a four-hitter as the Panthers picked up the SOL Liberty win on Friday. Ava Beal was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and recorded her 100th career hit to lead off the game. Skyler Williams and Leah Schwalm were both 2-for-4 with a double. For UD, Kaitlyn Small was 2-for-3 with an RBI single. Rayla Kratchman and Kyle Garrison also added hits for UD (11-5). Kyla Garrison absorbed the loss, allowing nine hits and five runs, walking two and striking out seven.

Souderton 3, Central Bucks South 2: Trailing 2-0, Souderton scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the fifth, Kayley York’s RBI sacrifice fly putting the Indians ahead as they went on to claim an SOL Colonial victory. Kathryn Jones began the bottom of the fifth for Souderton (8-7, 6-5 division) with a triple and scored on Makayla Mihelcic’s sacrifice bunt. Cameron Nadolski singled, stole second and third then came home on a wild pitch to tie the game. Ella Wheeler was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Central Bucks South (8-6, 7-5) while Camryn Lee went 2-for-4 with a run scored. The Titans scored both their runs in the top of the third on back-to-back RBI singles by Maura Fleming and Wheeler.

Central Bucks West 16, Central Bucks East 0 (5): Laila Murray hit a two-run home run as Central Bucks West scored six times in the top of the fifth, plated seven more in the second and rolled past Central Bucks East to end a two-game skid. Murray finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored while Chloe Dryden went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and scored twice for the West (8-7, 6-6 SOL Colonial). Molly Gibson was 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Sienna Lawson was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two run scored, Ana Glemser went 2-for-4 with a triple, RBI and a run scored with Ava Mattes going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Emily Anton was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Taylor Hooven had two RBIs while Julia Thomas scored twice.

Hatboro-Horsham 12, Wissahickon 0 (5): Amya Lundy was 2-for-5 with a double, triple, four RBIs and a run scored as Hatboro-Horsham rolled to its seventh straight win. Tess Kearney went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Hatters (9-5, 9-2 SOL Liberty), who brought two runs in both the first and second then pulled away by scoring eight in the bottom of the fourth. Alyssa Tooley struck out 13 while giving up three hits and two walks in a five-inning shutout.

William Tennent 8, Springfield (Montco) 2: Victoria Colagreco was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored as William Tennent took a 6-1 lead after its four-run bottom of the second and topped Springfield for an SOL Freedom win. Morgan Kocher went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a pair of runs for the Panthers (9-4, 9-3 division). Gigi DeMito was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, Anna Coulter finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Sami Wood scored two runs. Taylor Schulz was 2-for-3 with an RBI triple in the top of the first for Springfield (6-7, 5-6). Ashley Schulz added an RBI double in the third as she went 2-for-3.

Dock Mennonite 17, Academy New Church 2 (4): Aubrey Gahman drove in the game’s first two runs with a triple in the top of the first and finished 2-for-3 with five RBIs and four run runs scored as Dock Mennonite rolled to a nonleague victory. Lydia Ehst was 2-for-2 with a triple, two walks, two RBIs and three runs scored for the Pioneers while Addison Landis went 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored. Adelyn Clammer was 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored twice with Trinity Landis having two RBIs and two runs scoring. Jamie Madara went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Academy New Church.

Girls lacrosse
Strath Haven 17, Wissahickon 12: Sophia Stehlik and Alexa McCabe scored four goals each, but the Trojans came up short in a nonconference affair on Friday. Emma Greenberg and Maddie Radell added two goals apiece, while Nora Ryan had three assists. Ava Fell made eight saves in net.

Upper Merion 15, West Chester East 12: Ashley Evitts and Julianna Callison each scored five goals as the Vikings rallied for the nonconference win on Friday. Sam Walmsley (two assists) and Olivia Smith each added two goals for the Vikings, while Brooke Olsen added two assists. Anya Onwubuariri made four saves in net.

Boys lacrosse
St. Joseph’s Prep 15, Lansdale Catholic 5: The Prep took an 11-0 lead into the half and coasted to the PCL win on Friday. Gavin Selchert and Patch Flannery each scored two goals for LC, while Caleb Moister also tallied a goal. Jack Kennedy made nine saves in net, while Dan Curran won 15 faceoffs.

Upper Merion 17, Pottsgrove 3: Justin Besz, Casey Lamey, Kevin Roseland and Andrew Haney all scored three goals for the Vikings on Senior Night. Collin McCormick (two assists), Ryan Becker (20 of 24 faceoffs won), Truman McCormick, Qwynne Seals and Lincoln Jones all scored goals. Nathan Uhl made eight saves in net.
