ROUNDUP: Upper Darby defeats Garnet Valley for first time in 11 years

Maybe an unexpected home game provided Upper Darby with some extra motivation Monday.

The Royals were scheduled to play at Garnet Valley, but poor field conditions forced the Central League game to be moved to Lansdowne Ave.

It turned out very well for the Royals, who defeated Jaguars for the first time since 2010.

Sekou Wilks, Chris Chung and Chris Zupito combined to throw 11 strikeouts in the 6-2 Central League win.

AJ Dicus had a single, double and an RBI to power the UD offense. Zupio added two hits and Jake Franzini collected a pair of RBIs.

Wilks started and struck out three in two innings of work. Chung (five Ks) earned the win with 3.2 innings of relief. Zupito recorded four strikeouts in 1.1 innings to earn the save.
