Co-champs Marple, Conestoga place three each on All-Central team
Marple Newtown and Conestoga shared the Central League title this season, and each team contributed three selections on the first team All-Central League, as chosen by league coaches.
Each team’s top pitcher – Conestoga’s Tim Miller and Marple Newtown’s Ricky Collings – are on the first team as infielders. Marple outfielder Alden Mathes makes a rare freshman appearance on the first squad. Joining him in the outfield is Springfield’s nine-hitter (yes, nine-hitter), Greg Tamaccio, as the Cougars push three on the first team.
Below is the full list of honorees.
