Dougherty, O’Neill go long for Bonner & Prendie
Tim Dougherty had a home run and four RBIs, and Brian O’Neill also went yard as Bonner & Prendergast (4-0, 1-0) posted 13 hits in a 17-4 Catholic League victory over Lansdale Catholic Tuesday.
In the Del Val League:
Interboro 2, Chichester 1 >> CJ Cardell was 3-for-4 and scored the game-winning run on a two-out single by Noah Brisach in the third inning, and Jon Polillo’s complete game effort on the mound helped Interboro (3-0, 3-0) continue its strong start to the season.
Glen Mills 6, Chester 1 >> Andrew Dvorak and Will Fulkerson provided two RBIs apiece, which was more than enough run support for Issac Lemos, who struck out six in 5⅔ innings in the Battlin’ Bulls victory.
In the Central League:
Haverford 12, Upper Darby 2 >> Nick Cerelli went 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs, and Mike Garcia struck out seven over five innings as Haverford put up nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined en route to a commanding victory over the Royals.
Delco Christian 16, VFMA 4 >> Tyler Rossini’s two-run home run, and Josh Van Meerbeke’s four hits helped spur the Knights’ (2-1) offensive eruption as they rolled to a convincing win.
In the Ches-Mont League:
W.C. Henderson 4, Sun Valley 3 >> Dave Montella and Sean Steppke both had an RBI, but the Vanguards (3-1) were unable to muster any runs in the bottom of the seventh inning with two men on in a losing effort.
