Girls volleyball
Abington 3, Hatboro-Horsham 1: Kenya Lucas had 11 kills, including the 1,000th of her career, and eight aces in an SOL American win Thursday.
The Ghosts won in four sets 25-11, 25-12, 19-25, 25-22.
Sasha Moody added 13 kills and Mary Carter had 24 assists.
Field hockey
Abington 1, Springfield-Montco 0: Erica Devlin scored in overtime to lift the Ghosts to an SOL crossover win against the Spartans Thursday.
Devlin’s game-winner came with 9:58 left in overtime and was assisted by Maeve Link.
“I was really proud of the way the whole team came together during overtime,” Abington coach Katie Small said. “It was our first one of the season and they really dug deep even though you could tell they were tired. Caitlin Murcur did a great job in the net and recorded her third shut out in five games.”
Wissahickon 6, Lower Moreland 0: Kendall Crowley scored two of her three goals in the first quarter to lead the Trojans to an SOL crossover win Thursday.
Riley Ball added two goals while Caroline Kirkpatrick had four assists and Ella Hummel had two helpers.
North Penn 12, Bensalem 0: Laura Albert scored four goals and Caleigh Sperling added three in the Knights SOL crossover win Thursday.
North Penn built a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and 7-0 advantage by halftime. Grace McGeehan had two goals in the first quarter, including the first goal of the game.
The Knights, who improved to 6-5 with the win, out-shot the Owls, 22-0.
Girls Tennis
Methacton 6, Owen J Roberts 1: Hana Nouaime won first singles 7-5, 6-3 to lead the Warriors to a PAC win Thursday.
Lauren Montgomery swept third singles 6-0, 6-0 while Methacton took all four doubles matches in straight sets.
