Reporter/Times Herald Girls Volleyball Roundup: Pennridge, CB South earn SOL Continental sweeps

Central Bucks South 3, Souderton 0 >> Souderton’s McKenna Murawski made 11 digs while Maddy McCarthy registered five kills, five digs and ace as the Indians lost Monday’s Suburban One League Continental Conference match.

“We battled a strong CB South team,” Souderton coach Cori Watson said. “We worked hard and showed a lot of heart but ultimately came up a bit short. We are back to work tomorrow in preparation for a match against Quakertown on Wednesday.”

Nikki Hamilton dished out eight assists for the Indians while Gwen Anderson had five assists and Natalie Truskowski tallied three kills.

Pennridge 3, Central Bucks West 0 >> Pennridge picked up the SOL Continental victory by sweeping CB West 25-20, 25-18 and 25-20.

For West, Jada Reichwein had five kills and an ace while Maggie McCusker posted three kills and 15 assists. Magda Videva had four kills, Brie Livezey collected two kills and four aces and Alexis Barklage finished with two kills and two blocks.

Bensalem 3, Wissahickon 2 >> Bensalem came away with a five-set victory in the SOL non-conference match.
