Reporter Boys Basketball Roundup: Abington rallies to edge CB East in OT; Archbishop Wood wins in Hawaii

Abington 66, Central Bucks East 63 (OT) >> Abington trailed by 14 points after three quarters but outscored Central Bucks East 22-8 in the fourth to force overtime, where the Galloping Ghosts edged the Patriots 9-4 to complete the comeback win Wednesday.

Joe Jackman erupted for a game-high 32 points for the Patriots (2-4, 0-2 SOL Continental), who led 31-25 at halftime before besting Abington 20-12 in the third to push the advantage to 51-37.

Manir Waller’s 20 points paced the Ghosts (3-1, 2-0 SOL American), which won its third straight. Rob Bell added 16 points while Caleb Baker collected 15 points.

Archbishop Wood 73, Moanalua (Hawaii) >> Archbishop Wood began its trip to Hawaii with a win, four players scoring in double figures as the Vikings started fast and rolled in the first round of the ‘Iolani Classic in Honolulu.

Rahsool Diggins collected 10 of his game-high 22 points in the first quarter, which ended with Wood (2-2, 1-0 PCL) leading 23-10. The Vikings extended their advantage to 42-17 at halftime. 

Marcus Randolph finished with 12 points, Jaylen Stinson had 11 points while Muneer Newton added 10 points for Wood, which faces Utah’s Wasatch Academy in the tournament quarterfinals Thursday.

Lincoln Leadership 50, Jenkintown 36 >> The nonleague contest was tied at 32 after three quarters but Lincoln Leadership pulled away by outscoring Jenkintown 18-4 in the fourth.

Will Krinvic hit a pair of 3-pointers in scoring 13 points to lead the Drakes (0-6, 0-2 BAL Constitution). Lincoln Leadership’s Devin Wynder had a game-high 19 points.
