Cheyenne Churchville, Perkiomen Valley

Junior … Sprints … Captured gold in the 100 with a 12.43 at PAC-10 Championships … Medaled at District 1-AAA Championships in 100 by placing sixth with a 12.60 … Advanced to semifinals in 100 meters at PIAA Championships, finishing fifth in her heat (12.59).

 

Caroline Duffy, Methacton

Junior … Sprints/hurdles … Captured three gold and one silver at PAC-10 Championships and was girls’ most prolific medal winner and contributed most points in Methacton girls’ seventh-straight PAC-10 title … Won the 200 with a 25.30, the 400 with a 56.99, the 300 hurdles with a 44.81, and took second in the 100 meters with a 12.46 … Medaled in 300 hurdles at District 1-AAA, placing sixth with a 45.58 … Also finished ninth in 200 with a 25.73 at districts … Finished third in her 300 hurdles heat (14th overall) with a 45.59 at PIAA Championships.

 

Tejarra Ellis, Methacton

Senior … discus/shot put … Captured gold in discus with a school-record 128-6 at District 1-AAA Championships … Placed 11th in discus with a 119-6 at PIAA Championships … Double gold medalist at PAC-10 Championships, winning the discus with a 125-1 and shot put with a 36-0¾.

 

Annie Glodek, Perkiomen Valley

Sophomore … Distance … Captured two golds at PAC-10 Championships, winning the 3,200 with a 11:29.90 and the 1,600 with a 5:17.04 … Medaled in 3,200 by placing sixth with a 10:55.19 at District 1-AAA Championships … Placed 12th in 3,200 at PIAA Championships with a 10:59.64.

 

Rebecca Hemingway, Boyertown

Sophomore … Jumps … Captured gold in long jump with a 17-5 at PAC-10 Championships … Placed 16th in long jump (16-8) and 19th in high jump (4-9) at District 1-AAA Championships.

 

Aleigha Johnson, Spring-Ford

Sophomore … Jumps … Captured gold in high jump with a 5-1 at PAC-10 Championships … Placed 14th in high jump (4-11) at District 1-AAA Championships.

 

Aghina Marshall, Methacton

Senior … Jumps … Medaled at District 1-AAA in long jump, placing sixth with a 17-6½ … Also placed 10th in triple jump (35-6¾) at districts … Won silver in long jump with a 17-2½ and bronze in a triple jump with a 36-0½ at PAC-10 Championships … Placed 22nd in long jump (16-7¾) at PIAA Championships.

 

Jenny Martin, Methacton

Senior … Throws/Hurdles … Captured gold in 100 hurdles with a 15.48 at PAC-10 Championships … Also won silver in javelin with a 114-10, and placed fifth in triple jump a 35-4½ at PAC-10 … Captured silver in javelin with a 136-2 District 1-AAA and also placed ninth in 100 hurdles (15.34) at districts … Placed 11th in javelin (120-6) at PIAA Championships.

Sophomore … Jumps … Captured gold in pole vault with a 10-0 at PAC-10 Championships … Placed 18th in pole vault (9-0) at District 1-AAA.

 

Nicolette Serratore, Methacton

Senior … Throws … Medaled in javelin placing fifth with a 130-11 at PIAA Championships … Also placed 10th in triple jump with a 36-11½ at PIAA … Captured gold in javelin at District 1-AAA with a school record 139-0 … Also medaled in triple jump at districts, placing sixth with a 36-8¾ … Captured two gold and a bronze at the PAC-10 Championships, winning the javelin with a 124-1, the triple jump with a 37-4, and placing third in the 100 hurdles with a 16.36.

 

Morgan Shronk, Owen J. Roberts

Freshman … Mid-distance … Medaled in 400 meters at District 1-AAA, placing sixth with a 57.63 … Won silver in 400 with a 57.94 at PAC-10 Championships …. Finished fifth in her heat at PIAA (58.54).

COACH OF THE YEAR

Rob Ronzano, Methacton

Methacton girls captured seventh-straight Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and went undefeated in dual meets for seventh straight season, running their title streak to 10 overall (three straight in Suburban One League before joining PAC-10). … Methacton placed fifth as a team at the District 1-AAA Championships.
