Williams comes through for Bonner-Prendergast

Simone Williams outlasted Vicky Outland, 6-2, 6-3, at second singles to lead Bonner-Prendergast to a 3-2 win over Academy Park Monday.

Grace McDermott (third singles) and the first doubles pairing of Frances Flemming and Sydney Lynch added wins for the Pandas.

Lattana Sithara took care of business at first singles for AP (5-3), and the second doubles team of Jasmine Hightower and Vicky Cannon notched the Knights’ other win.

Also in nonleague action:

Cardinal O’Hara 6, Upper Darby 1: Allison Salmon, Gabriella Levy and Caitlin Savage swept the singles competition by dropping just a total of nine games for the Lions (5-4).

The Royals’ only win came via second doubles tandem Grace Grant and Nikki Kaur.

Marple Newtown 6, Archbishop Carroll 1: Rylee Power, Emma Clancy and Devon DiCampli took care of business with minimal resistance for Marple (5-5).

Carroll’s lone win came in a seesaw first doubles affair, with Cara Hagan and Sophie Schena getting the best of Rachel Hua and Caroline Van Son, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6-4).

In the Bicentennial League:

Lower Moreland 6, Delco Christian 1: Ellie Schmucker’s 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 win over Allison Oblon at first singles stood as the only point for the Knights.
