Hostetler leads sweep for Garnet Valley

Senior All-Delco Jenna Hostetler served three aces and keyed the defense while Brianna Plush delivered nine kills and Elise Cummings spread around 23 assists, powering Garnet Valley (4-0) to a 25-21, 25-20, 25-16 triumph over Avon Grove in a nonleague match Friday.

The Jags’ Kiley Price (seven kills, three blocks) and Sydney Portale (five kills) also made their presence known at the net.

In another nonleague match:

Sacred Heart 3, Radnor 0: KelliLynn Murray made crucial plays throughout and setter Lauren Kilroy paced the offense for the Lions, who improved to 5-0 with the 25-16, 25-9, 25-22 victory.

In the Del Val League:

Chichester 3, Chester 0: Becca Civera and Melissa Ferrara combined for seven kills and seven aces, Courtney Profitt aced three of her serves and Samantha Falcone added a block and two aces for the Eagles.
