Das, West strike for goals as O’Hara blanks Chichester

Tamara Das and Jenn West scored in the first and second halves respectively, and goalies Paris Banks (2 saves) and Carrie Zamonski did the rest in a game played in a heavy rain, as the Cardinal O’Hara girls soccer team defeated Chichester, 2-0, Saturday. For the Eagles, Theresa Mignoga made eight saves in net.

In other nonleague matches:

Notre Dame 3, Bonner-Prendie 1: Junior Phoebe McClernon scored all three Irish goals, with Gabrielle Agnes assisting on one.

For the Pandas, Allison Hart scored the goal, while Miranda Corrigan made five saves in net.

Haverford 2, West Chester East 0: Olivia Butera scored both goals for the Fords. Goalkeeper Missy MacPherson made 10 saves for East.

Marple Newtown 2, Great Valley 2: No details reported by Marple Newtown

Little Flower 2, Sun Valley 0: No details reported by Sun Valley.

Springfield 3, Shipley 0: Freshmen Olivia Little and Erin Cutcliff both scored their first varsity goal for the Cougars. Also registering a goal was Taylor Winkleman, beating Shipley’s Mya Overton (8 saves). For Springfield, Madison D’Ambrosio had seven saves.
