Carly Gannon delivered in a big way for the Haverford field hockey team Saturday.
Gannon’s second goal of the day occurred six minutes into overtime and pushed the Fords to a thrilling 3-2 nonleague decision over Avon Grove.
Gannon got the ball rolling for Haverford late in the first half. With the Fords trailing, 2-0, Gannon scored with 16 seconds to go before the break. Tess Horan netted the equalizer midway through the second stanza.
Emily DiGaetano put forth a solid effort between the posts (eight saves) for the Fords (2-2).
