HIGHLIGHTS: Pottsgrove made a furious comeback from 28-0 down and Dominic DeMeno put the finishing touches with a first-minute pin at 285 to lift the Falcons over the Tribe in a PAC Frontier matchup. Nathan Gillin’s decision triggered Grove’s six-match streak that included pins by Shane Caffrey (160) and Jake Palladino (189).

Boys Basketball

Hill School 71, Friends Central 47

Highlights: Hill (7-7, 5-0 PAISAA) showed its excitement of returning home to Gillison Gym by jumping to an early 20-3 lead and never looked back. Graham Eilberg’s three at the halftime buzzer put the Blues ahead 38-14 at intermission, and Hill was able to sustain the advantage throughout the second half while getting all players in uniform game action.
Ethan Meuser led with a game-high 19 points, Oli Hutchison chipped in 14, and Trey O’Neil added 14. Augie Gerhart had an efficient 9 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Hill remains home for the 2nd of four straight home games and will next face league foe Mercersburg Academy on Saturday at 2pm.
