BETHLEHEM >> Neshaminy received a key pin at 285 pounds from senior Kyle Osterhoudt, who put Allentown Dieruff’s Sean LeGreaux on his back 1:20 into the second period, helping the Skins to a 36-34 triumph over the upstate opponent in round three of the Bethlehem Duals Dec. 10 at Bethlehem Freedom High School.
Neshaminy also received pins by Colton Jordan at 106 pounds, Jackson Erb at 132, Brock Leinbach at 160 and Zack Magdelinskas at 195. All were in the second period except for Erb, who put his opponent Isaac Kassis on his back in 20 seconds and Magdelinskas, who pinned Isaac Kassis in 41 seconds.
Neshaminy went 1-4 in the tournament, falling to East Stroudsburg South, Blue Mountain, Stroudsburg and the host team.
In other wrestling action around the Lehigh Valley over the opening weekend, Council Rock South seniors Zack Trampe and Joey Doyle captured title belts at 138 and 220 pounds, respectively in the Cumberland Valley Kick Off Dec. 10 at at Cumberland Valley High School.
Doyle won his championship bout with Exeter’s Jonathan Greenleaf by way of a first-period pin and Trampe decisioned Canon McMillan’s Tim Hritsko, 12-5.
Sophomore Max Mendez (106) and senior Riley Palmer (152) took third-place medals in the tournament while sophomore Ben Radner had to settle for sixth due to an injury default.
