Brenden Valverde and Jesse Enck scored gold medals for Daniel Boone in the AAA Section 4 tournament at Governor Mifflin Intermediate School.
Valverde (32-2) won at 182 with an 11-3 major decision of Exeter’s Nolan Buck, and Enck (31-2) topped the field at 220 after a 5-2 decision over Exeter’s Jon Greenleaf. Samuel Zummo (23-14) was second at 113, as was Owen Powell (33-4) at 138 while Joey Yohn placed fifth at 145.
The top three finishers from each weight class qualify for the South Central AAA Regional being held next weekend at Hersheypark Arena.
